How are bursaries
awarded?
Bursaries are awarded on the basis of financial need.
This helps to ensure that summer
camp is financially viable for everyone.
When will I know if I have received
a bursary?
Applications are processed and notices are sent out
during the second or third week of June, after bursary
money is in place.
What happens if either I do
not receive a bursary or the amount isn't sufficient
enough to financially allow my child to attend camp?
We do our best to give each applicant a bursary, with
the amounts completely dependant on the total donations
received. If after receiving a bursary, the parent still
feels they are financially unable to pay the remainder
of their child's camp fee, the parent is able to cancel
their child's registration completely, with the deposit
payment refunded in full.
Who provides the bursaries?
The bursary program is completely funded by private
donors who graciously support Pioneer Ranch Camps in
this way each year.
How can I thank the donors?
Recipients are given the opportunity to write a note
of appreciation to donors when they are at summer camp.
These notes help to report the use of bursary money
to the donors. If requested, names are kept confidential.
