obtaining a police check
All staff (paid & volunteer) that are 18 years of age and older need to have a police
check (current in the last 3 years) on file. The police check alerts Pioneer to any criminal activity over the past 5 years.
Already Have a Police Check
We will accept a copy of a police check completed with another organization, provided it was processed in the last two years.
Those with criminal records may not volunteer. However, if the charges are not related to sexual misconduct or child abuse, the camp director may waive the disqualification.
All volunteer applications are submitted online. You will need to go to your local Police Station or RCMP office to obtain a police check. Once you receive it, please forward to our office. Volunteers must have a current police check to be on site. |
