SENIOR GIRLS CAMP (Grades 8-12)

From the first hint of dawn to the last call of the loons, a day at Senior Girls Camp is packed with friends, laughter and adventure! Seize the opportunity to spend two weeks of community living in a cabin and experience some of the classic moments of Senior Girls Camp:

  • Going for paddles along the shores of Crimson Lake
  • Getting up early to catch and feed the horses
  • Taking climbing skills from the wall to the rock
  • Belting out campfire classics each night
  • Challenging ourselves in the back country on multi-day out-trips
  • Exploring the Christian faith through relationships and creation

The first five days at Senior Girls are spent in camp. Catch up with old friends and make a whole bunch of new ones! Work hard at developing your skills in Horseback riding, Canoeing or Backpacking with your cabin group in preparation for your out-trip. Then, the out-trip! The Out-trip is the heart of the Senior Girls experience. Take what you’ve learned at camp out to the backcountry. Spend your next four or five days either Horseback riding, River Canoeing or Backpacking in the mountains with your friends and experienced leaders. This will be a physical, emotional and spiritual experience that will push you to grow in new ways. As a step along the adventure, all campers in Grade 8 will spend their out-trip backpacking and setting a good foundation of skills before choosing to add canoeing or riding in Grade 9 and above. Warning: campers may get so hooked on backpacking that they never try another out-trip option.

Return to camp for the final three days and CELEBRATE! All the cabin groups reunite at camp with unique stories from their adventures. Story-telling, feasting, slideshows and relaxing abound. Make the most of the last days of camp because they always pass so quickly!

When? July 8 - 21

LIT - Leaders In Training

pictureWho? For ages 17 - 19, Co-ed
When? July 1 - 13
Fee? $650  (+GST)

Dictionary.com defines leadership as “a person who guides or directs a group,” and to lead as, “to go before or with to show the way.”

At Pioneer Ranch, we define leadership as “guiding and influencing others to be all that they were created to be, to make an impact for the sake of God’s Kingdom”.  LIT (Leaders in Training) is a program designed to teach & develop personal character and leadership ability.  Through Bible study, discussion, prayer, reflection, journaling, adventure, a weeklong back-country out-trip, skill development and much more, we seek to know more about ourselves, our God and this wonderful mysterious journey of life.  You will be challenged, developed, tired & ultimately changed.

This is an application only program that requires references and we don’t accept everyone who applies.  We want folks who are teachable and ready for the depths that this program goes.  To apply, simply download the attached application and follow the instructions listed.  Once we’ve received your application, the LIT Directors will be in touch for an interview and if accepted you will then register in our database program & make the payment.
