First Aid
A doctor, nurse, or qualified first aid attendant is a resident in each summer camp and is available at all times.
Helmets
Anyone participating in any horseback activity at Pioneer
must wear a helmet. Appropriate helmets are provided
by Pioneer or feel free to bring your own SEI/ASTM approved
helmet with you.
Nuts, PeanutS & Nut Products
Pioneer Ranch Camps does not guarantee a nut-free environment. To reduce the risk of exposure we do not use, serve, or sell peanuts, peanut products, or tree nuts. However, the foods we purchase and serve, or sell in our tuck shops, may contain traces of nut or peanut products.
How can you help protect those with nut allergies?
If you have food containing nuts or nut products when you get to camp, turn them over to Pioneer Ranch Camps staff.
Summer Camper Parents: Please send care packages to your child(ren) that only contain nut-free products.
Staff
All year round site staff have current first aid training with at least a standard level. Cabin leaders and other staff are carefully screened according to the standards set by Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship of Canada (IVCF).
All staff (paid & volunteer) need to have a police check (current in the last 3 years) on file. This police check alerts Pioneer to any criminal activity over the past 5 years.
Water Activities
Waterfront and/or pool activities are under the strict supervision of qualified lifeguards or instructors.

The policy also covers injuries sustained from seat belt, felonious assault and activities which cause paralysis. Note: The policy has limits on the various benefits. |
